Virus check

Every time I open WORD, I have to wait for an automatic 'virus check'. Is
there an easy way to get this to stop? I think thast this a horribe waste
of time.

Most virus check programs provide a way to exclude file(s), File types,
or directories if you so desire.

You need to look at the setting in your antivirus program. It's not a Word
issue.
