Hoping that somebody out there understands how Anchor bars/windows *really* work inside of Visio, and can point me to some articles or references that will tell me how to programmatically control one. Some of the issues I'm having:
-- In Visio 2003 an anchor window doesn't auto-hide itself if I create a new document or open an existing one. The damned thing just sits there, hogging up screen real estate. If I move the mouse over the caption and then move it away the auto-hide magically takes effect again. (*sigh*).
-- I can't programmatically "maximize" or "show" the window. Nor can I programmatically "minimize" or "hide" (as in: show the unexpanded version) the window. The only thing that auto-shows or auto-hides the window is me moving the damned mouse cursor over it. (*VERY big sigh*).
This thing is a major pain in the ass, and I'd be interested in alternative controls if there are any.
