Summary
Installer VISE installers may have difficulty detecting the operating system
language on some Mac OS X machines, causing the installer to unexpectedly
quit. A workaround is to have the user make a small change in
'International' System Preferences.

Some Mac OS X users have experienced a problem running Installer VISE
installers on their machines. Installers built with Installer VISE version
7.3 or older may have difficulty detecting the operating system language on
some Mac OS X machines, which results in the installer unexpectedly
quitting. This issue has been resolved in version 7.4.
Installer VISE installers will, by default, always check the language of the
OS at launch time to ensure that the correct language will be displayed for
localized installers or that the correct files are installed based on
language. If the installer cannot detect the language of the OS, it quits.
One solution is to build new installers with Installer VISE 7.4 or newer and
distribute these to your customers as required. Another option is to have
the customer make some small change in the 'International' settings of
System Preferences. For this, the customer should do the following:
1. Go to System Preferences and open the 'International' settings.
2. Make a small change such as rearranging some of the languages at the
bottom of the language list or adding a new language.
3. Close the 'International' settings, which will save the changes.
4. Launch the installer.
Has anyone had problems with VISE Value Pack Installer? I get the VISE has
unexpectedly quit message, but had no problem with Office X 10.1.5 Update
which uses a newer version.
