Visio 2000 adds extra documents

Running Visio 2000 on Windows 2000. Sometimes when you
open a saved document -- extra documents [not
pages] "appear" like magic. This AM the orginial document
had 3 pages but when I opened it, there were 28 more 3-
page documents. Someone else had been in the doc this am
and she said it was OK.

To work around I minimize ALL the documents then click on
the box in the right hand corner until I have only one
left. Then I save it and so far it has been OK.

The new fix didn't address this at all.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Please try the following:

1. Remove the autorecovery information file manually and then start Visio.

File path is: %userprofile%\Application Data\Visio\Visio 2000\AutoRecover.ini where %userprofile% = C:\Documents and
Settings\loginname by default.

2. If the AutoRecovery feature is not required, it may be disabled as mentioned
below:

Launch Visio - select TOOLS - OPTIONS - GENERAL tab - uncheck "Save AutoRecover
info every x minutes" - click on the OK button

Plese let me know whether this helps.

Jagadeesh Parameswaran,
