Visio 2000 and 2003

I have Visio 2000 and need to open a project saved in the 2003 version. Can
this be done? and how?

you can't open it. If you have the visio viewer you can view it.

I apologize for not adding that you might ask the originator to save as
v2002 (which under the covers has the same format as v2000).
