Visio 2000 and Office XP

I have installed Office XP and after that I have problems
with my Visio 2000.

I have uninstalled Visio, and than installed it again.
Everything is o.k. until end of installation. After I
click on Finish start Visio and during "Visio updates its
directory cache" at 80% of update start Windows Installer
and than stops all.

The tasks seams to be running (in Task manager) but
nothing is going forward - all is frozen.

Does anyone know what-where the problem is?

Thanks

I recall some similar problems with that combination. Try updating Office XP
to the most recent service pack.

Hi again,

I try to install Office XP Service Pack 2 but onn the very
beginning of the installation there is a message : "The
expected version of the product was not found on your
system".

And that is the messege after I HAVE REINSTALED Office XP
once again.

Incredible but truth.

And everything was O.K. until I was working with Office
2000.

Sorry Mr. Gates but that was wasted money for Office XP...

I have a vague memory that Service Pack 2 requires that you previously
installed SP1.
