visio 2000 and visio 2002 file formats

My user received a file created in visio 2002. We only have visio 2000. Visio 2000 just hangs when we try to open the file. I did download the visio 2003 viewer and it worked.....once....

Now what do I do?

Try downloading the viewer and opening it there. Another option is to try and 'import' it rather than open it directly
