My office have supplied me with Visio 2000 (it was gathering dust in a
cupboard) but, having installed it, the background colour is a horrible dark
red (RGB:28,0,0) which I can change for document view but I cannot find a
setting for changing the stencil background colour. I can't read the names of
the shapes in the stencils!!

Please, does anyone know how to make the background colours for stencils
white?

I'm not sure if there are Color settings in the Tools > Options dialog for
that version or not. If not, you might try checking the "Put all settings
in Windows Registry" box, found on one of the tabs in Tools > Options. Then
look in the registry for the color values. At this point, I do not know
what the registry path is for Visio 2000 settings.
