Visio 2000 Compatability with Windows XP

My older version of Visio - Visio 2000 - appears to be
incompatible with Windows XP. Does anyone know whether
Microsoft offers a way to allow one work with the other?

Visio 2000 does work with Windows XP along with older versions of Visio.

You can also upgrade from Visio 2000, to the latest version, Visio 2003.
Most retails stores will have the upgrade package.

John, can we have some details? I just tried to install
Visio 5 (which is probably 2000 before MS acquired Visio)
and got an "incompatable with the OS" message during
installation and again when I tried to run it.

Visio 2000 was the follow up to Visio 5 released by Visio Corporation before
MS acquired Visio in 2000. After the acquisition, MS released a rebranded
version of Visio 2000 (Visio 2000 with a few patches plus references to MS
rather than Visio Corp). Since then MS has released Visio 2002 and Visio
2003.

In spite of the messages, all versions of Visio work with Windows XP. ( I
recently ran Visio 1.0 out of curiosity)
