Visio 2000 embedded word tables blank

When I open any Visio 2000 file with tables that had been
embedded from Word they come up as a blank box with a
black X around it. If I try to paste a Word table into
Visio it comes up with a message saying and error 906 has
occured, cannot paste the OLE object. I have seen this
happen with CAD drawings but can't find anything to solve
this problem with word tables. Anyone have any ideas or
have you seen this problem before????

I am receiving the same error when attempting to embed an
EXCEL table in my VISIO drawing.

There are no articles in the MS Knowledge Base that
reference this error either.
