Visio 2000 files appear corrupted when opened by another user

Andrew

This seems to foolow on from another post.

Working in Visio 2000 SR1, under Office 2000 Pro SP3 on
Win2k SP4.

One team member will createa/modify a vsd, that will
appear corrupted when that file is opened by another team
member. By corrupted, I mean a once clean layout of
objects now appears overlayed, mis aligned, outside of
swimlanes, etc.

Can anyone help ?

Many thanks in advance,
Andrew.

consider : screen definitions (i.e. resolutions), device drivers, visio
versions, etc...

Thanks Al,

I can understand screen resolution, and we're using the
same version. Could you say some more about device
drivers - any specific ones to look out for ?

Also, another piece of info has come to light.
If the later user to open an apparently corrupted doc
moves an object, Visio returns an "unhandled exception"
error. Quitting the doc without saving, and the reopening
the doc appears to fix the layout and alignment.

Any thoughts anyone?

Many thanks again.
Andrew.
