Visio 2000 in a web page

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to host Visio 2000 in IE 6.0. I do not need the viewer
tool, but should allow people to create new visio drawings. However, I am
wondering if Visio 2000 has any ActiveX or some other control that can be
used for that.

Cheers!

Yes, Visio does have an ActiveX control,
and I expect you can use it within a web page.
My understanding is however that your users will need
to have the full Visio system installed and licensed
on their computer to use this.

If that doesn't work for you, you might consider other
alternative ActiveX controls. Our MetaDraw control
can be used in a web page without requiring end-user
licensing. The result can be saved to the local system,
or if you get MetaDraw with Subscription License Option
there is a feature for uploading the finished
drawing back to the server by FTP or HTTP protocol
( you can even limit uploads with password protection).
Note - once you've got the drawn image you can import this
into Visio on your system if needed.

I would be happy to answer any questions you might have
on MetaDraw, or you can take a look yourself at our
web site at www.Bennet-Tec.com/MetaDraw.htm
