Visio 2000 Save error message

I'm assisting a client who gets Visio 2000 errors after working on *.vsd
files and saves them to a personal network drive: "An error (1532) has
occurred during action save. DOS Sharing violation" message box having a
Microsoft Visio title. Client has considerable free drive space and this
network drive is not shared out to anyone else, nor does this error occur if
*.vsd files are accessed on the local drive. There are no similar errors with
Word docs or Excel spreadsheets saved to the same personal network drive.
I've googled on this exact error message and come up short. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
