Visio 2000

I want to buy Visio for very basic process mapping (and
keep the cost down).

Which one is newer: Visio 5 or 2000?

I think I would just need the Standard Edition - are
there hidden options - Full version vs ??

Any other cautions?

The current version of Visio (in a store near you in October) is Visio
2003. Before that was Visio 2000 and Visio 5 was prior to Visio 2000.

I'd wait and by Visio 2003 Standard edition.

unless you need to do like I do a lot of, and import adobe illustrator
documents... 2003 doesn't support that anymore... :(
