The current version of Visio (in a store near you in October) is Visio
2003. Before that was Visio 2000 and Visio 5 was prior to Visio 2000.
I'd wait and by Visio 2003 Standard edition.

I want to buy Visio for very basic process mapping (and
keep the cost down).
Which one is newer: Visio 5 or 2000?
I think I would just need the Standard Edition - are
there hidden options - Full version vs ??
Any other cautions?
