Hi Julie,
As I can recall it this was due to the fact that visio for the first 26
colors has it own color management
after that it referts to RGB setup
So the first 26 colors are defined by the number 1 to 26
This is fine in Visio but Word doesn't recognize it
So instead of the number you need to place the RGB value in the
shapesheet(select shape then goto window/show shapesheet and then go to Line
Format or Fill Format section for the linecolor or fillforegnd cell where
you place the RGB value)
the RGB values for the first 24 colors are:
0 = rgb 0 0 0
1 = rgb 255 255 255
2 = rgb 255 0 0
3 = rgb 0 255 0
4 = rgb 0 0 255
5 = rgb 255 255 0
6 = rgb 255 0 255
7 = rgb 0 255 255
8 = rgb 128 0 0
9 = rgb 0 128 0
10 = rgb 0 0 128
11 = rgb 128 128 0
12 = rgb 128 0 128
13 = rgb 0 128 128
14 = rgb 192 192 192
15 = rgb 230 230 230
16 = rgb 205 205 205
17 = rgb 179 179 179
18 = rgb 154 154 154
19 = rgb 128 128 128
20 = rgb 102 102 102
21 = rgb 77 77 77
22 = rgb 51 51 51
23 = rgb 26 26 26
Hope this helps
René
