Visio 2002 crashes when inserting or editing text

Every time I try to insert or edit text in a new or existing drawing Visio
2002 encounters a problem and much close. I have installed the Service Packs
and Updates and this keeps happening. It is becoming a major problem. Any
advice? Thanks!

Visio 2002 is no longer in mainstream support. Without additional information
regarding your computer and checking the event logs troubleshooting the issue
would be very difficult. Have you tried performing a repair of Visio, make
sure you disable your anti-virus software before doing so. Try running the
computer in safe mode you may have another application that is causing a
conflict. You could also open a support case with Microsoft Support.
