I'm having a very strange problem. I have Visio 2002 Pro
installed on my desktop and laptop (installed from same
disc). Desktop version works perfectly. However, on the
laptop, everything works except the database "Database
Model Diagram" solution. I've narrowed the problem down
to the dbengr.vsl file (located in the
1033/solutsions/database directory) but cannot seem to
find a fix. I've copied the .vsl file from my desktop
and replaced the one on the laptop to no avail. When I
launch Visio and select the DMD solution the stencil set
comes up fine but the palette goes to hour glass and
subsequently forces the program into a "not responding"
state. I can remove the dbengr.vsl file and the DMD
solution comes up fine but without the added tools
specific to the DMD. The laptop is a Sony VAIO GRV680P
with a P4/2.4 and 1 Gig of RAM. Any idea what's going
on? I thought it may be conflicting with something else
installed so I've pretty much pulled everything off to no
avail. REALLY hate to have to format and reinstall OS
just to be able to use Visio...
Thanks in advance.
