Visio 2002 hangs inserting Cad

I

Iain

I have a CAD Floor plan. When I open it using Visio 2000 It opens fine I can make any modifications and save as vsd. When trying to open the same CAD file in 2002, visio hangs. If I wait long enough (1minute or so) it comes up with a file reference error pointing to some jpg file referenced in the CAD document. Each time you make any modification to the image you have to wait for this error to popup!!. Obviously Visio2002 is 'smarter' than it predecessor, and sees more of the CAD. Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve

Thanks in advance

Inserted or linked objects in an imported file can be problematic for Visio,
especially if the source is external and can't be found. One solution is to
open the CAD file in its native program and resolve the problem there. If
the jpg is linked, try embedding it instead if you can. Other than that,
I'm at a loss.
