Visio 2003 and Word Table, Re-sizing

I'm running Visio 2003 Enterprise with Office 2003 Ent. on XP and I'd
like to insert a word table into visio, then resize it to fit but I
can't get it to work.

If I select the table (green box) and then drag the box to make it
smaller the box appears to shink and then bounces back !! a bit like a
rubber band. Sometimes the table moves location on the screen and
other times it flashes and then it reappears the same size but the
green selection box is twice as big.
Once the selection windows has enlarged its self, a double click opens
a greyed word window, very odd, I can only see the table if I edit it
in word.

I've played with the table properties/"resize to fit"/"cell miminum
sizes" but there appears to be a minimum size the table will go before
"odd" things happen.

I think its something to do with cell/font sizes, not sure.

I've tried inserting an excel worksheet and that can be pulled around
to any shape or size, just what i want but I just can't get rid of the
gray grid !!

So whats the best can to add a table of data into visio 2003 that can
be easily edited and resized ?

Thanks

Leigh

I have the same issue, and it's not just in Visio: I can't get Word objects
inserted into Excel or Publisher to behave properly, either. I needed to be
able to resize embedded Word content and have the text flow (rather than
expand and contract) but couldn't find a way to do it. I tried to get an
answer to this during the Office 2003 beta but none was forthcoming.

Microsofties, any help here?
