Dear Wise Visio Users,
I have had numerous problems using visio 2003 SP-1 to open AutoCAD 2000
files.
The most recent issue has left me at my wits end. Here are the symptoms:
1) I create a Visio file where I've imported multiple AutoCAD 2000 DWGs
(unconverted). Everything is running smoothly (i.e. I can edit and save the
file without any problems).
2) I close the file, then try to open it again. Visio hangs for several
minutes - using 100% of my CPU and around 30 MB of RAM. The total size of ALL
DWG files is 800 KB.
3) Eventually I give up and force-close Visio.
I have tried to configure the location of the DWG files and the Visio
document in many different ways, but I can't seem to shake this error. Has
anyone experienced the same problem and found a suitable work-around?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
Antoni Paleshi
