Visio 2003 Default File Type

Johnny Fugazzi

I have a few users that are using different versions of visio in the office.
One person has Visio 2003, one has Visio for Enterprise Architects from
VS.Net 2003, and the others have Visio 2002.

Whenever the Visio2003 user creates a new file, or edits an existing file,
the file is saved in Visio 2003 format. This is also the case if the user
opens a Visio 2002 file resaves it.

This is causing a little bit of chaos in the office. I have heard rumors
that there is a registry key that will set the default file type for Visio
2003 to a Visio 2002 file. Does this exist, and if so, what is it?

Thanks
