Visio 2003 Evaluation Activation

I've downloaded and successfully installed Visio 2003 Evaluation Edition but
am unable to activate it (and thereby get full functional access) via the
Internet - I suspect that corporate security settings at my end are to blame
however there's nothing I can do to get round that I'm afraid.

When trying to activate over the Internet, Visio reports "The Activation
Wizard is unable to find a connection to the Internet. Please make sure that
your connection is working properly and then retry activation in a few
minutes." This even happens when I have an active Internet connection
established to the Microsoft web site.

What's more, I suspect because I am a UK user, the option to activate the
software by telephone is unavailable. I've e-mailed moseval but the
autoresponse hints that I may not get a resolution from that source. Does
anyone know if I can get an activation code by any other means? Maybe one
can be e-mailed to me, but who should I send this request to? I'd be
grateful for any advise.

Cheers

I have the same problem here, i'm pretty sure it has to do with the proxy
that is setup on the network. Is there anyway to get the activation to
connect through the proxy

Thanx

I'm pretty sure the proxy negotiation is to blame - it's causing me hassle
with another system I admin. Anyway the user of the Visio Trial decided that
they didn't want to go down the Visio route given the problems with
activation (another own goal MS ...) so I haven't taken this any further.
Good luck in solving this for yourself though.

Cheers
