I was using Visio 2002. I was recently upgraded to Viso 2003. I am NOT a
proficient user.
In 2002, whenever I moved a shape or a connector, a non-printing gridline or
axis line would appear to let me know if my shapes were centered beside,
above or below each other. I have no idea what they are called, and as such
have not been able to find a solution anywhere ... these lines are NOT
appearing for me in the 2003 version.
If anyone can direct me to where I can turn this function on (if possible),
I would appreciate it greatly.
My second issue is this: I cannot easily get rid of the connector tool once
I turn it on. I have tried hitting escape and cancel, but it STAYS there (I
seem to recall being able to hit escape in 2002, and it would go away), and
it's very frustrating when trying to move shapes around (and I can't turn the
connector tool off).
