Hi all,

Quick and stupid question of the day. When I create a create a text box or
drag a shape onto a page, what do I click or select to center that shape
horizontally but not vertically on the page. For example I want to put a
footer text box at the bottom center of all pages. I had a look through
Help, but it wasn't helpful at all.

Thanks,

Phideaux.

Not to beat the dead horse, but since no one responded, do I take it that
what I asked is not possible?

Thanks,

Phideaux

There is a command to center the drawing, but to center a shape.

If you are dealing with text, you can create text block shape that spans the
complete width of the page. You can use tabs to center the text or set the
text alignment to centered.

If you are doing this for every page, you can create a background page
containing the footer and attach the background page to all the drawings.
The background page can contain special fields that inherit information from
the foreground page. (For example page number or name)
