is there a odbc driver to connect ldap/ad user information to visio shape

hi Al,

i have been searching on msdn but didn't find the answer. can you give me
the url of the example you found ?
i have an office layout with computers and telephone's on the desk the
computers are ling to an sql database (zen asset management) the novell odbc
is givving to much trouble (craches all the time) so i would like to get the
data from the ldap server

thanks for the tips.

it is possible that i don't undestand the solotions you gave me.
but all i want is an shape that display's realtime information in the custom
propety window from AD like a username and telephone number. if the user name
or telephone number changes it must be visable. just like a odbc link to a
sql data base.

Attaching to AD for data access is not a standard function in any of the
visio versions. You'l either have to write some custom code or check around
for some third party products.If I understand what you are asking for, it is
a common request for those who are responsible for Facilities management.
That's why I gave you the pointers to the FM articles.

i'll gues i have to look for someone who can make some sort of odbc link
to ldap for me. i'm not a scripter.
