Visio 2003 Printing Problems

Doug

I am having a problem printing out ANY diagram created in Visio. It
prints the Shapes, backgrounds, shading, colours andsuch properly
formatted. However the text ALWAYs comes out like hieroglyphics...
different fonts/ sizes...

I am also running MicroSoft Office Small Business Edition and ALL the
printing from this package is correct. If I cut and paste Visio Drawings
into Word it prints fine. I have tried upgrading the printer driver - no
help. I have exported or saved it as a previous version of Visio and
printed it out with the same results.

This is the ONLY program with printing problems EVERYTHING ELSE is fine,

If I print to the other laser (networked)- HP4600DN - perfect.

My System
Hardware:
AMD Athlon (Barton 2600)
Panasonic KX-P7105 Laser Printer, PCL6 driver (ECP parallel interface
being used)

Software:
Windows XP Pro, (all updates installed).
Microsoft Office 2003 Small Business Edition (live updates tell me upto
date)
Microsoft Visio 2003 Standard Edition
Norton AntiVirus

Uninstalled and reinstalled Visio.

As an addendum to this message - I've just discovered a font that prints
correctly - Arial Narrow - other standard font's are unrecognisable -
tried Advanced printer settings - Outline and Bitmap mode for fonts...

Ok tried Swiss Narrow - works fine - so can someone tell me why the
'Narrow' fonts are working while their 'normal' counterparts fail?
