Visio 2003 Pro Organization Chart - Superior Shapes Connection los

I have an existing Organization chart, with superior shapes, synchronized
pages. I worked on it last week, and it was fine, I added some staff, moved
staff, and removed staff. I was able to "drop" new shapes on the superior
shape. The only thing I did different was use the align tool. This chart is
over 50 pages, quite large. I saved the chart, and closed it, then shut down
my PC at end of day.

Today, Monday, I open it back up, and voila it opened very fast! Which, is
very unusual it usually takes a few minutes due to the size. Ok, thought
maybe because first thing I opened today. Went to add additional staff, and
move staff for final touches, and I can no longer drop shapes onto their
superiors! The shape properties are weird, and when I update the properties
of a particular shape, the visual shape on the grid is not "updated", still
has old text there. Because of the size of this orgchart, it is not feasible
for me to recreate it from scratch, it took me a few weeks to get it to the
final result that my executive staff want to see. I update it 2x's a month,
and now I am stuck! HELP!

Make sure that automation events have not been disabled. Go to
Tools->Options and
select the Security tab in the dialog. Make sure the "Enable Automation
Events" box is checked.

Is other Org Chart fucntionality working? Try right-clicking on a position
shape and select "Change Position Type...". Does a dialog box appear?

I am trying to determine if the entire solution is not functional or if it
is just the drop-on functionality.
