I am having trouble using the Visio 2003 Reverse Engineer function against an
Oracle9i database. I downloaded and installed the latest ODBC driver from
Oracle and selected it (Oracle in OraHome92) for Installed Visio Driver
"Oracle Server" using the Setup button. Then, I clicked "New" to create a
new File Data Source, selected the Oracle in OraHome driver, made up a name
for my File Data Source and clicked "Finish". When prompted, I entered my
Service Name, User Name and Password and it saves my file, but does not add
it as a Data Source for Visio. If I use the same ODBC data source outside of
Visio and use the same connect information, I connect fine. Actually, this
may be because Visio 2003 only supports up to Oracle8i, but I was hoping
someone has found a way to make it work with Oracle9i...Thanks!
