Visio 2003 "Save As" Question....

B

Brian

I've made a drawing with Visio 2003. The drawing is 48mb. Some of my
co-workers are still using Visio 2002. When I save my 2003 drawing in Visio
2002 format the drawing goes from 48mb to 384mb.

Any ideas as to why??? I'm at a loss.........

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Brian

Does your drawing contain a number of images, I believe Visio 2003
introduced image compression, whereas before images were stored in a
bitmap format. Hence, saving as 2002 format will have to expand these
images and make the file size larger.

Thanks for the reply Paul.

Your answer would seem reasonable as there are quite a few stencils and
inserted pictures.

Thank you.
