Visio 2003 should open Visio 2002 calendars without the formattin.

My job had some monthly calendars produced in Visio 2002. We upgraded to
2003 professional and when opening the files, there were various things
formatted differently. Most notably, the date numbers that appear in the
individual day boxes were completely missing. Is there any patch or fix that
will address this problem?

I seem to recall a recalculation issue that might explain that. From Visio
2003, save the file as an XML document (VDX extension). Then close the file
and reopen it in Visio. You can resave the file in binary format (VSD
extension). Round tripping through XML often "cleans" the file and causes a
full recalc of the drawing.
