Visio 2003 SP2 & Powerpoint Printing Issue

Here's a strange problem.
When I print a visio image in visio it prints fine.
When I copy and paste special a visio graph (as an enchanced meta file) and
try to print it, the images and lines show up but not the text.

What gives? Is there a way around this?

I'm currently downloading updates for Visio but some please HELP!

We struggled with this also. Finally saved the drawing as a .tif, then did
an Insert Picture into the Powerpoint.

When printed, does a .tif look as sharp as an .emf (enhanced meta file)? I
tried copying and pasting it as a .jpg and the quality was horrible. How
does a .tif compare?

Thanks

Kevin,

Export the shape(s) as an emf file and then insert as a picture into
PowerPoint as MaryRose suggests.

To export, select the shape(s) you want to export and then click File/Save
As... and change the file extension to ".emf". Then Insert/Picture in
PowerPoint. I find this gives pretty reasonable results.

Best regards

John

Kevin:

To answer your follow-up, the .tif gave us good results for our purposes:
taking PowerPoint slides (with the .tifs) and inserting into Word files, then
converting the entire file to PDF so our printing department could create
student notebooks.
