I'm slowly coming to a solution on creating an office floor plan, and
populating the drawing with icons representing computer equipment from
a SQL database. The problem I have now, is once I Enable Space Plans,
and Import Data there seems to be no way to remove the "link" that is
created. For example, I run the Import Data wizard, and I decide to
import equipment from a table containing Printer. Using the wizard I
assign a shape to be used, and voila the drawing is populated properly
with all the printers. Now if I choose to Refresh the data, new
printers are added as the database is updated, and I can remove items.
The problem is if I decide that I no longer want printers in my
drawing, there is no way to get rid of them. Every time I do a Refresh
it just adds them back. Does anyone know how to tell Visio to stop
Importing a particular item type? These "links" must be stored
somewhere, but I can't find them to remove them.
Thanks,
Troy.
