Visio 2003 to Visio 5

Is it possible, in any way, to backward convert a Visio 2003 drawing so that
it can be opened in Visio 5

Sadly I don't have access to Visio 2000. Would any of the other export
formats work and if so which would be the best?

if all you want to do is view the drawing then they can use the visio
viewer, or you can export as svg since adobe has a free addon for that, or
export as html. But to edit the drawing you have to use an intermediate
step.

Viewing Visio 2003 drawings in the latest viewer is posing problems for my
project. Text fills are turning black. If we convert the drawings to Visio 5
they display correctly in Visio Viewer. Should I start a new chain for this?
I mention it here because of the recommendation in the previous post.

Excuse me! I didn't notice the timestamps on this thread. I will try to start
a new thread for my problem.
