Situation: I am running Visio 2003 with XP Professional, IE7 for use on a
local computer.
I am building 2003 web pages; if I turn off ALL Web Publishing Options (i.e.
Pan and Zoom, Go to Page, Custom Details, etc) I can hyperlink from one page
to another with no problem. Sort of.
If I leave the options off, I get the dreaded "IE has blocked ActiveX and
Scripts from running on your computer" error. If I ignore the error (i.e.
don't allow blocked content) I run fine.
If I turn on ANY of the Web Publishing Options, build the website from
Visio, start IE on my Visio built web page, and allow blocked content and I
try to hyperlink to another page, I get the "Internet Explorer cannot open
the Internet website".
Summary: I turn off Web Publishing Options and ignore the blocked content
web bar, I'm fine-feature free, but fine.
Turn on ANY Web Publishing Options, allow blocked content, and I break.
any ideas how to allow me to use Web Publishing Options and run locally? I
can't figure this one out. I tried adding the localhost to the Web Security
sites; no good. I tried lowering the local intranet security level, no good.
I'm out of ideas.
any thoughts?
