Visio 2003: Zoom in - out

Zoom is a drop-down menu of % Zoom. I would like to make it a + - button
like Visio 2000. Anybody know how?

menu Tools -> Customize
select the Commands tab
select View from the Categories side
in the Commands side you will see Zoom In and Zoom Out
Drag these and drop them on the menu bar where you want them.

Hello Jimmy,

You just need to customize your toolbar to achieve this. Have a go with the
following:

1) Ensure the Drawing window is the active window and right-click on one
of the existing toolbar buttons and select 'Customize...'

2) In the dialog, click the Commands tab and select 'View' from the
left hand listbox.

3) Select the 'Zoom Out' item in the right hand listbox and drag and drop
it where ever you want it appear in the toolbar.

4) Repeat item 3 for 'Zoom In'

5) Close the dialog and you're done.

And don't forget the must-know mouse/keyboard shortcuts:

Ctrl + Shift + Left-mouse click = zoom in
Ctrl + Shift + Right-mouse click = zoom out

Ctrl + Shift + Left-mouse drag= zoom in to rectangular area
Ctrl + Shift + Right-mouse drag = pan

Ctrl + Shift + Left-mouse click = zoom in

Ctrl + Shift + Right-mouse click = zoom out

Ctrl + Shift + Left-mouse drag= zoom in to rectangular area
Ctrl + Shift + Right-mouse drag = pan

And some more, which I think are even better:

Ctrl + Roll = zoom in/out

Shift + Roll = pan left/right

....and of course Roll on its own to pan up/down

(Roll refers to the mouse wheel).

If a part was selected, the "old" visio would zoom-in around the selected
part. 2003 seems to zoom-in around the center of the screen. So to zoom in
on a part in a corner, I must first center the part and then zoom. Does
anybody know how to zoom around a selected part?
