Visio 2007 Addin for Windows Vista

C

Chance Fulton

I am developing an addin for visio 2007 that will capture events fired
inside an instance of Visio, and relay them to another application. I was
using a development box running windows XP pro, and it seemed to work just
fine. I have since switched to a Windows Vista dev box, and the event
capturing program has seemed to stop working. I was wondering if anybody
knows of anything that may be causing this issue.

(just for the sake of clarity)
I am developing under VS2005 for Visio 2007 under Windows Vista Ultimate.

How often have I heard this in the last few days, " Vista ... it's
stopped working ... it works with XP ".
Is it just plain vanilla Ultimate or x64 ? - 9 different versions -
welcome to your nightmare.
Vista's default security (for its and other's benefit, not yours) is
much tighter, you may need to digitally sign your executables (and
anything else that moves). You can create your own certificate for
in-house purposes and for others who will trust you. Otherwise you
have to buy a certificate, US$75 upwards, the cheaper end works just
as well as the ri.... more expensive end.
