Visio 2007, associative(dependent) entity with rounded corners

Hi, How can I create an associative entity that has rounded corners in Visio
2007?
I tried doing that from the lines properties but it doesn't work. I select
one of the rounded corners click apply and OK but it stays the same.
Ofcourse I can achieve something like that using the rectangle tool,
straight lines etc but what would be the point of using visio then.
Let me clarifiy a little, rouding corner works on a normal rectange drawing
but not on entities. And I couldn't find anything like associative or
dependent entity type.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the shape "Entity" in the stencil "Entity Relationship"?
Or do you mean one of the associative type of shape?

If the former then there are two reasons why you can't round the
corners on this shape.
1. It's a grouped shape, the top and bottom sections are different
shapes within the group.
menu View -> Drawing Explorer and find the shape, you will find that
it is made up of two shapes.
2. each of these two parts of the shape have guarded formulae to
prevent you doing what you want. Edit the shape (from the Show
Shapesheet menu) and overwrite the Guarded formulae.

However, each part of the shape rounds corners independendly so still
may not do what you want.

I found the command recently to join two seperate shapes for example
create a box with the line tool.
Select the whole box with the pointer - drag a select box around all
the parts of what you want to join.
Then go to "Shapes - Operations - Join"
That will make all the individual shapes that you created into one
shape that you can then round the corners of with the line format
tool.

Hope that helps!
