Hi Tony -
This issue has been logged, but it was found to late to include a fix in
SP1, so we hope to address it in a future service pack. There is a work
around, however, that you can try. When you are creating the Filename to
export your data, specify the extension manually (rather than permit the
dialog to automatically add the extension). This seems to force the
correct export filter, and should allow you to create the export files that
you need.
I'm sorry this problem has impacted you, and will suggest a public article
to help make the work around easier to find.

Hi
I have got Visio 2007 (SP1) and have developed an Organisation Chart
using the standard template.
I then try to use the "Export Organisation Data" function on the Visio
toolbar in order to export the data into an Excel workbook.
Whenever I do this though, Excel crashes. For information I have Excel
2003 (SP3) and *have* been to the Micosoft site to install any updates/
Service Packs my laptop needed, but I'm not getting anywhere with
this.
Please help!!
Tony
