Visio 2007 issue

Have encountered following annoying issue:

1. Start Visio 2007.
2. Ensure that toolbar "View" is visible (this point is important!)
3. Open (any) stencil (File -> Open)
4. Open (any) master on that stencil for editing (select master and
double-click it)
5. Visio crashes.

Have checked this with Visio 2007 Pro and Visio 2007 Pro SP1 (still
exists)
Probably this issue should be fixed somehow (if not reported yet)

Hi Nikolay.

Unfortunately, I failed to crash Visio.
Nothing happened when I double click the master on stencil.
When I opened my personal stencil in edit mode,
Master shape oepend with double click normally.
There is the "View" toolbar, yes.

Why unfortunately?

Probably there is some difference in our systems,
or the issue might be somewhat random (e.g. sort of memory problem)
Just try the same steps one more time,
or try closing/reopening visio before opening the stencil.

Before posting that, I have checked this issue with:
- Windows XP SP3 and Windows Server 2003 (EN/RU/DE)
- Visio 2007 Pro (EN/RU/DE), with SP1 and without it.

(not all combinations of course,
but it seems that there is no difference)

I am having the same issue. Mine relates to any stencil that I have created
or saved. If I drag an icon to a new stencil sheet and save it it works
fine. When I try to open any diagram that has the self created stencil the
sheet doesn't open and I get the same crash message that you get. It's only
with stencils that I have created or saved. In order to fix it I have to
reload Visio 2007 and it works for a little bit and then it crashes again.
Sure would like to know what it is because I can't open any drawing that has
this saved stencil and can't open any drawing previous to Visio 2007 or it
crashes.
