In an incomplete map, how much of the site is mapped? Does it seem to be
taking a long time - such that Visio might be timing out, for instance?
Are you able to map a non ASPX based site with appropriate results? If
not, try these suggestions:
I would start by checking the Settings from the button on the 'Generate
Site Map' dialog. Start with a small number of levels and max links - to
allow a discovery to complete and the analysis/drawing phase to being
normally. Also, check the Extensions tab to be sure there are no unchecked
boxes - for that matter, check Protocols and Attributes as well, just to be
complete. You can always turn these 'down' again later, if you get more
than you wanted.
Then check the Advanced tab ...
* Expand the search criteria from default 'Analyze files within specified
domain' to 'Analyze all files discovered'
* Ensure that the 'Include links to files outside of search criteria'
option is checked
* Uncheck the options to ignore fragment identifiers and query components.
See if this gets a reasonable amount of info. Once you feel that the
search is working well, you can then expand the levels and max links, if
necessary, to broaden the search.
Let me know how it goes.

I have a web project comprised completely with APSX files and can't seem to
generate a web map. I have tried both the project on its URL address and
from a folder on a local drive. I have tried many times (over 100) and
only
once did it generate the entire web map. What it does every other time is
only map the first page.
