Visio 2007 Standard Admin point

Hi All,

What files are needed for deploying Visio 2007 Standard from a network
share? Is it best I just copy all directories from the CDROM there and
then use the resource kit and put the .MSP file into \Updates, or can I
get away with only copying 32-bit files (eg, I don't need the 64 bit
Office64.en-us directory).

Thanks

Adrian

The OFFICE64.en-us (for english/US versions) folder is part of the shared
Office components, and I am not certain what, if any, impact will occur
from not including that folder in the install point. However, it is only 1
MB (actually about 992K) in size, and if you are creating an installation
folder with multiple 2007 applications in it, like Visio and Project, you
only need one copy of these shared folders present - since they are all
identical.

Given that the size is relatively small, and the potential impact (install
might not complete for lack of components), you should not remove the
folder. Plus, if you run into any deployment / migration / customization
issues later, this would not be considered a supported state.
