Visio 5.0 Technical

The computer I use was upgraded to WINDOWS XP pro. When I
tried to install Visio 5.0 Technical it would not load. A
message stating it would not run with the present
operating system. Is there a download to correct the
problem? What must I do?

the consensus is 'ignore the message and continue the install'. the strong recommendation is upgrade to Visio2002 with the understanding that the visio 2003 upgrade will be free.

Fred,

Right click on the Visio icon you use to access the
program. Got to Properties, compatibility and select your
prev operating system. That should work. I am using the
same program in XP and I can't seem to get Visio to
print. May need to upgrade. If you have a solution,

Yep. I have run Visio 5 on Windows XP without a single problem, and don't
even mess with trying to run it in compatibility mode like another poster
said. It will only cause other problems... Why try to fix a problem that
doesn't exist?
