Which drawing type do you see this with? Do you get any conversion message
when you open the files?

Hi Mark, thanks for your reply, let me expand on the problem. We are in the
process of upgrading from Visio 5.0 to Visio 2003. Our test users are
opening Visio 5 documents without any conversion messages, they display fine
until viewed under print preview which appears blanck, also when printer the
page is blank. I changed the default printer to a few different ones with the
same result. If the document is copied and pasted into a new document it is
fine. According to Microsofts sales pitch Visio 2003 is compatable with all
previous versions, it would apear not.The other problem is a number of the
Visio 5 files when opened in Visio 2003, the font size changes and a number
of the opject change from squares to diamonds.

I have not encountered the blank page issue before. However, if you have
not done so, please install Service Pack 1 for Visio 2003. That addresses
several printing issues, so there is a chance that this solves the problem.

The other thing to verify is that shapes are not on a Layer marked as
non-printing, or that individual shapes are not marked as non-printing.
This would narrow down the problem to a printing issue or a file conversion
issue.

As for the object changes, are these shapes that are changing from squares
to diamonds or are these selection handles? Somewhere between Visio 5 and
Visio 2003, the control handles changed from green squares to yellow
diamonds. They still have the same functionality.
