Isn't there any way to convert VISIO files in other format where you can
edit the shape text? (let's say any other Office app, as
Powerpoint,Word, etc.). I understand you can save as Autocad DWG, but
what if you don't have autocad?. All the "converters" I've researched
allows you to view the file, print the file or convert it to a graphic
format (lots of them!) in which you cannot modify the shapes text. I'ts
driving me nuts!. The visio files were left to us by a contracted
adviser, who did the job in his laptop, where he had VISIO. We paid
already for the files, the documentation in it is ours, but we now need
to change some text in them, such as staff position name or the owner of
a position, for example, and we don't have VISIO, and there is no
intention to purchase it by now. The shortest way could be redo the
drawings from the beginning in other app, but the work to be done just
to change three or four words in each drawing is too much, and as
Murphy stated somewhere, we are a little tight on time, tight enough to
make useless to try restarting the drawing from scratch. Is there any
solution? Thanks.
