visio ? best way install and edit cad drawings

i have cad drawings from clients and after i finish voice,data cabling i
usually draw cad drawings in visio. label all drops,cable pathways,comm.
closets, etc.
i would like to know how i can convert existing cad drawings with out
original cad software to visio. once converted to visio will i be able to
edit drawings.
i currently converted one drawing but will not allow me to edit drawing.
only lets me size and print.

What version and edition of Visio do you have? Not every edition supports
conversion of CAD drawings.

For end-users try Visio Inside Out from Microsoft Press. It is the most
comprehensive book I have found.

For developers try Graham Wideman's Visio Developer's Survival Pack. It is
the Visio development bible.
