Visio closes opening vdx files

A had a similar post about his previously - Basically if I open visio and
browse to a folder that contains vdx file Visio - closes with out any error!
There is no corruption in these files as there local on the disk - same
issue with network.
Vsd files are ok.

Visio 2002 Sp2 -
Windows Xp Pro - Sp2
Office 2003 Pro -

This is happening on all machines - Dell Gx270/280 Laitude D600/D610 etc.
