Visio Connector for EPM/SPS is now available

We have recently released the "Visio Connector for Project/EPM/SPS", a tool that enhances the out-of-the-box integration between Visio, Project/EPM and Sharepoint. This release which has been uploaded on Gotdotnet, includes not only the executable but also the source code so you can freely enhance the existing tool functionality.

This tool provides the following functionality

1) Visio -> Project / EPM

· Generate project plans from within the Visio Process flow diagrams

· Generate project plans from Visio WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) diagrams

2) Project / EPM -> Visio

· Report the status of the tasks from Microsoft Project Plan stored locally or in a project server

· Generate a portfolio view in Visio from Microsoft Project Server.

· Generate Visio process flow diagram (With Critical path view) from MS Project plan through MS Project Add-Ins.

3) Sharepoint <-> Visio

· Report the status of the tasks from Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server

· Generate SharePoint Tasks from within the Visio diagrams
