Visio Drawing Control in Web Page

Michael

I have a Visio Drawing Control working in a Windows Form application, but i
want to use a Visio Drawing control on a website but i cant find on the
internet how to do this. I cant drag and drop a Drawing Control on a webpage
(In VS2005) like i did with the normal windows application.

I have been looking on the internet for 2 days but cant find any help.

Could someone point me in the right direction on how to display a drawing
control on a website?

Thanks,
Michael

I also had this problem at one time. I believe the circumvention was to open
a previous project using vs2005 that had the drawing control in it and then
drag it to the toolbox. Then I could use it in other projects. I think the
issue had to do with vs2005 wanting the controls to be .net 2.0 compatible.

Hi Michael ... had you found a solution for your question below please? Like
you I am trying to add a Visio drawing control to a webform using VS2005. I
have not tried this using VS2003 as yet as I do not have installatino access
on my machine.

Thanks

Hi Michael, thanks anyway for reply.

The weirdest thing is that now I installed VS.NET 2003, and am able to load
a Visio drawing control fine, just as in Windows Forms :/ Now I need to get
Office 2007, maybe I need the latest interop assemblies or something

Cheers

I think you'll find that when you use Visio Drawing control
in a web page or deistribued application you need to make
sure your end-users also have full license for Visio installed
on their computers.

However, you can use the free Visio Viewer
control....

That works fine if all you want to do is allow the user
to View the Visio drawing.
