visio-embedded object in word prints funny

I have fully-updated word 2002 and fully updated visio
2002. I embed a visio object who's page is sized to fit
the drawing (something I did inside of visio). It is
fine in word's view and print preview. When I print
however, all fonts are white.

Anyone seen this? is there a known fix or workaround
other than creating a black backdrop (or throwing visio
away)?
