I've seen numerous requests for a Visio module that will work in a
PDA, and specifically in a Pocket PC handheld. I do construction site
inspections and usually work with a pad and pencil, then transfer
everything to a Visio drawing later. It would be awesome to have a
basic feature, uncluttered, unbloated Visio app for PPC that would
allow me to use it to sketch out foundation layouts showing where the
walls jog in and out, throw in some dimensions, and a few other
niceties. Then... be able to IR the drawing to my notebook back in
the office or in the car/job shed and actually use that drawing...
expanding it to have all the needed bells and whistles.
With so many requests for a PDA Visio... I fail to understand why MS
just keeps saying thanks for the feedback, we'll look into it... and
does nothing about it. My only alternative is to sell the PDA and
notebook and get one of those compaq tablets, but they are clunkers to
carry around on a job site.
